Meet the LivingInAustin.com Team
Jay Carter & Michele Kim Carter
Co-owners, Jay Carter Real Estate Corp.
We're not your typical real estate agents. We believe in working hard for our clients, and then re-investing our free time and money into worthy causes. In the summer of 2007, we were very lucky to be able to collect donations of children's clothing here in Austin, and then personally deliver them to orphanages in El Salvador. For us, it just doesn't get much better than that. We're also addicted to travelling anywhere in Europe.
Michele is active in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program of central Texas, and highly encourages everyone to consider being a big brother or sister to a local kid who really needs one.
Michele also finds time to volunteer for the Austin Junior Forum, which is currently holding the annual Christmas at the Caswell House event to benefit an array of local charities (and since she's on the PR committee, she pretty much required me to include that shameless plug!).
While Michele handles most of our clients' phone calls and e-mails from inside the office, Jay takes on the job of meeting with clients out in the field. Formerly a TV news reporter in Austin, Jay knows his way around town and understands how to effectively negotiate on behalf of his clients. He particularly enjoys working with home buyers.
Jay and Michele really enjoy what they do, and love to meet and help people. If you're looking for a great team of Realtors, take a moment to read what Jay & Michele's clients have to say about their service.
Jay and Michele have been married since 2001 and reside in north Austin. Their two children each have four legs and are named Duke (pictured left) and Dolly (on the right).

Since Purina One dog food isn't getting any cheaper, Duke and Dolly hope you'll give serious consideration to calling their parents when you need to buy or sell a home in Austin or central Texas. You can contact them right here.
Michele Annino
Broker and Client Care Coordinator
Michele Annino handles all the “contract to closing” details for our clients. Among many other duties, Michele keeps track of lenders, inspectors, Realtors and title companies to make sure everything that’s supposed to happen in a real estate transaction happens on time. And since Jay is constantly away from the office showing properties, Michele serves as a main point of contact with our clients to answer any questions they may have along the way.
Michele is from southern California, and has worked in the real estate industry for more than 20 years.
Michele can be reached at 512-246-2172.
Marsha Whitley
Office Manager
Acting as the glue that holds Jay and Michele's office together, Marsha puts her decades of organizational and accounting experience to good use in order to keep the office organized and running smoothly. She handles a variety of duties in the office from filing to marketing to issuing paychecks.
A few years ago, Marsha retired from a long career working for the Internal Revenue Service, but we try not to hold that against her. She is now a proud grandmother who resides in Pflugerville with her wonderful husband, Carl.
